IS Solutions launches 'Speed-Trap on Demand'
Pay-as-you-go online customer insight package unveiled by IS Solutions.
4 November 2008: Internet application specialists, IS Solutions, launches a unique Online Customer Insight solution – Speed-Trap On Demand. Speed-Trap uses Web 2.0 technology to capture and deliver complete, real-time data on every individual online customer and prospect, based on detailed analysis of their current and historic online behavior and experience – complete online customer insight.
Based upon the award-winning Speed-Trap application, Speed-Trap On Demand is hosted on a Software as a Service (SaaS) basis by IS Solutions, in an effort to widen the access to the solution for online businesses.
Jon West, IS Solutions Marketing Director, comments, “Speed-Trap has to date only been targeted at larger organizations, but by presenting ebusinesses with the option of utilizing the technology on a hosted and flexible basis, we hope to make Speed-Trap more accessible across the ecommerce market. Now, every online business can afford to sign up to Speed-Trap as an on-demand solution.”
Priced from just over £1,000 per month, Speed-Trap On Demand provides an ROI typically within three months by providing absolute visibility of how the website is being interacted with, in terms of usability, conversion and website optimization These all lead to increased customer loyalty and retention.
The service can be implemented within a single day and can run for as short a period as one month, with no limit on the number of user sessions from which the data is collected.
By providing the On Demand version of Speed-Trap, ebusinesses are afforded the option of either taking out the standard ongoing contract and achieving a perpetual view of online interactions, or alternatively using the technology for a shorter period to see a snapshot of their online activity.
The On Demand solution includes hosting, support and licenses, allowing the online business to pay for what they use, when they use it and for as long as needed. The value-add from Interactive Agencies has been recognized by allowing any one agency to host up to five clients off the same server.
Benefits of the service: Pay-as-you-go. Convenient monthly payments, no capital outlay. Rapid initiation for almost immediate availability. All code entered at set-up, no further coding or scripting required. Centrally managed, hosted and supported. Scalable to grow with your requirements. Multiple clients and sites permitted with no monthly volume limit. Adaptable switch-on, switch-off service. Dashboard available for as long as you need after data collection has ended.
Benefits of the application: Online insight into customer interactions. Track the exact journey of a user. Improve usability, by seeing every keyboard stroke, mouse movement and click by individual or aggregated. Improve the architecture of your application by understanding how your users actually manage their session. Improve flow to your call to action or transaction by identifying exactly how users are getting there and identifying how this might be improved. Improve conversions of users by studying where most users leave the conversion funnel and why. Demonstrate this with a typical individual user’s video replay. Increase the overall effectiveness of your application. Total campaign control and management, particularly relevant to stand alone campaigns, microsites, unique URLs etc. that are run over limited periods. Target campaign expenditure to where the actual business is coming from by removing the guesswork. ROI expected within 3 months or less.
“Speed-Trap itself provides complete online insight into customer interactions – everything from a mouse move to an incomplete form, rather than over-arching and generalized reports – and moves website analysis from basic page collection to customer insight. The On Demand option allows ebusinesses to benefit from the technology for a temporary period in order to better appreciate their site’s activity so as to enable accurate and appropriate amendments from either a usability or marketing point of view,” said Malcolm Duckett, VP, Marketing and Operations, at Speed-Trap.
Used as a stand-alone solution or part of a larger strategy, Speed-Trap On Demand can operate in conjunction with existing web analytics solutions without affecting performance. It can also be deployed on a large or small site as a temporary solution or proof-of-concept for a more advanced Online Customer Insight program.
Typical uses include:
On any website or browser-accessed application for accurate session-based customer insight. Benchmarking the performance of your site prior to known event, such as a re-design or change of architecture, infrastructure or design. Improve usability of a site by aggregating real user data, to establish exactly how the users are seeing and using the existing pages, navigation and processes. Campaign management of a new microsite or campaign, to ensure total effectiveness and make changes as issues are detected. Improve the flow of the user session, by understanding how users actually navigate around the site before they get to where they wanted to be. Improve conversions to sales or a call to action. Identify exactly where users are being lost from 100% on entry to a few percentage of conversion. View actual replays of user experiences just before they left the process. Pre-tender; allow shortlisted agencies selective access to the Speed-Trap On Demand dashboard of a client site, ensuring the quality of the pitch is intimately directed at the current performance of the site. Pre-pitch; persuade the prospect to allow you to run Speed-Trap On Demand for one month prior to your presentation, allowing full insight into the issues facing your prospect to ensure you have every opportunity to win the pitch. On a re-design before live to ensure the site is delivering what the re-design set out to do. Post re-design, after the excitement is over and particularly relevant if a benchmarking exercise was commissioned per re-design. To compare and contrast that the re-design is in fact objectively matching the brief.
